Medieval Mongolian Burials, Investigated in the Egiin-Gol Valley (Northern Mongolia)

In the summer of 2018, as part a joint Mongolian-Russian expedition organised by staff from Ulaanbaatar and Altai Universities, archaeological research was carried out in Egyin-gol valley (Hutag-Undur somon Bulgan aimag Mongolia). The planned work included excavation four burials Mongolian times localities Ikh Khutul Elst Khutul. This article presents results such activities detail. Particular attention is paid to recorded gravestones grave structures, well position orientation buried people. These data reflect specifics implemented ritual comparative analysis with materials other medieval graves discovered excavated Egijn Gol. There good prospect studying generalising information about sites an area which be flooded reservoir during construction hydroelectric power station.
